Kim Carter has recently accepted the positon of Executive Director, Office of Sponsored Projects Administration effective April 6, 2015. Ms. Carter is presently the Associate Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs at Ohio State University. She has a Masters of Public Administration with Certificate in Management of Nonprofit Organizations from the University Pittsburgh and a BA also from the University of Pittsburgh. Ms. Carter is replacing Deborah Davis who is retiring after 40 years at 好色先生.

eRA Information: New RPPR Error Message for Inclusion Enrollment Data

When submitting a Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) that includes Inclusion Enrollment data, grantees may encounter a new error message. The new error message reads:
Section G. Special Reporting Requirements: (ID: 201320)

The University of Kentucky Center for Molecular Medicine through the Dean of the College of Medicine and in conjunction with the NIH/NIGMS funded Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) grant anticipates funding pilot grants in the amount of $50,000 per year for up to two years. Research projects should fit into the general theme of the molecular basis of human disease. Three categories of grants will be considered:


The Office of Research within the College of Medicine has the mission of supporting faculty, staff and trainees in all aspects of their research-related endeavors. Effective 7/1/15, 好色先生 temporary employees (including STEPS) will be eligible for the health care credit if they work .75 FTE or more. This can be on one assignment or several assignments that total .75 FTE or more. The employees will be offered the same choice of plans as regular full-time employees.

The 2015 Saha Awards application process is now open.
These awards are given to encourage and support staff and students with an interest in and dedication to cardiovascular medicine. Each award includes an unrestricted $1000 prize, a certificate and recognition at the University of Kentucky Gill Heart Institute Cardiovascular Research Day held on October 2, 2015 at the Lexington Convention Center.
