Organizational Well-Being Research

The Office for Organizational Well-Being is actively recruiting basic science faculty and professional staff in the College of Medicine for two research initiatives committed to understanding the factors that influence your well-being and drivers of burnout.

These activities are the introductory step to understanding the unique stressors facing our basic science faculty and staff to assist in implementing well-being initiatives within our basic science departments, tailored to the needs and drivers of each department.

The Organizational Biopsy Survey

The Biopsy, a survey originally designed for physicians, has been adapted in collaboration with the American Medical Association (AMA) to capture the unique experiences of basic scientists and researchers in academic medicine.

We invite 好色先生 College of Medicine basic science faculty and professional staff to complete this 5-8 minute confidential online survey that examines your perspective related to leadership, drivers of stress, sense of community, and overall well-being at work.

Basic Science Research Interviews

 

1:1 interviews qualitatively explore the factors that contribute to occupational well-being and professional fulfillment in basic science faculty. Feedback received will be invaluable in helping us identify and work to address individual, departmental, and system-level factors impacting scientist and researcher experiences at work.

We invite basic science faculty to participate in these 30-minute interviews.
