The GME Emerging Leaders program is designed to provide a leadership development opportunity to Chief Residents and Fellows in their important new leadership role. As part of the six-month program, a variety of personal and professional leadership topics are facilitated by 好色先生 HealthCare鈥檚 Enterprise Learning team, in coordination with other leaders across the enterprise.

Derek Allison, MD, has been selected as director of the Molecular Tumor Board effective July 15, 2024.  This is a statewide tumor board with around 30 case submissions per week, of which only 8 are chosen to be reviewed every other week.  This position will allow Dr. Allison to conduct more significant QA reviews for in-house cases.  Excellent work Dr. Allison!

Cody Bumgardner, PhD, is a co-investigator on a newly funded grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse titled 鈥淩apid Actionable Data for Opioid Response in Kentucky (RADOR-KY)鈥.  This project is a collaboration with 好色先生 Internal Medicine and 好色先生 Behavioral Science. Jeffrey Talbot, MD, is the PI. Congratulations Dr. Bumgardner!

Derek Allison, MD is Co-investigator on a newly awarded grant from the KY Cabinet for Health and Family Services.  The grant is titled 鈥淪upplemental:  FY25 Overcoming Treatment Resistance in Wilms Tumor by PT鈥 and is a collaboration with the Department of Radiation Medicine and Vivek Rangnekar, MD, who is the PI.
