Wellness Resources

Faculty, staff, and learners on all campuses can access mental health resources online or by phone. Use Talkspace or contact the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú Counseling Center for support, or access one of the campus-specific resources below.

    • The University of Kentucky offers free, 24/7 telehealth counseling services to all students. Call 859-257-8701 to schedule an appointment or speak with a clinician.
    • Access mental health clinicians through Talkspace, a secure online text and video chat platform. Free for all ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú students, including unlimited messaging and two sessions per month.
    • Meditation and sleep app that may help with stress and anxiety
    • Available free for all clinicians with NPI numbers.
  • (Supporting One Another to Rise) multidisciplinary team to help cope with PTSD, loss and assault. Call 859-323-SOAR.
  • ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú HR - REST Program 
    • ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú HealthCare Psychiatry developed a program called REST – Reaching out to Employees with Stress reduction and behavioral health Treatment. REST provides ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú HealthCare faculty and staff a range of stress reduction, coping skills and behavioral resources. Call 859-323-6201 for more. 
    • Free exercise website recommended by Mayo Clinic wellness coach Dan Abraham from the Healthy Living Center.

Lexington Campus
  • Graduate Medical Education Emotional Resources
    • Up to 12 free individual counseling sessions per year are available for medical students. Contact 859-825-8986 to schedule an appointment or email WoodlandWellnessGroup@gmail.com.
    • Access to confidential consultation is available through the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú Department of Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic during business hours, five days per week. The telephone number is 859-323-6021. Follow prompts for the Outpatient Clinic. 
  •   – 8 free sessions per calendar year (12 for medical students). Not affiliated with ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú. For appointments call 1-800-350-6438.
  • - 24-hour psychiatric services, 859-268-6400.
    • Located in White Hall Classroom Building, the pantry provides food assistance to students with a valid ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú ID who are experiencing food insecurity.
Bowling Green Campus
    • Local support services and resources are available for students at the Bowling Green Campus to maintain mental health,, and 
Morehead Campus
