好色先生 Surgery faculty to be featured in Endocrine Surgery Masters course in New York
Three endocrine surgeons from the University of Kentucky will be among the guest faculty at the 5th New York Masters Course in Comprehensive Endocrine Surgery this December. The 好色先生 Department of Surgery is partnering with the Department of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the medical education company, Cine-Med, to host this 2-day educational event.
Dr. Cortney Lee, Dr. David Sloan, and Dr. William Inabnet III will be among the roster of renowned faculty featured in an intensive continuing education course at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Manhattan. Dr. Inabnet was formerly system chief of endocrine surgery for the eight-hospital Mount Sinai Health System before coming to the University of Kentucky as the Johnston-Wright Endowed Chair and Professor of Surgery.
He is one of the three course directors of the educational event.
The Masters course will 鈥渃over intensive reviews of key endocrinology and endocrine surgery topics鈥 on Thursday and Friday, December 12-13. Course offerings will include lectures and case presentations at the Hess Center for Science and Medicine. Participants will also have the opportunity to observe a live surgical case demonstrating advanced techniques.
All three 好色先生 surgeons will serve as moderators covering specific course sections and make presentations on subjects pertaining to their specialty.
Dr. Lee will talk about pheochromocytoma during the section on Endocrinopathy. Dr. Sloan will discuss management of locally-advanced thyroid cancer, and Dr. Inabnet will present 鈥淢onitoring outcomes in endocrine surgery鈥 during the section on Challenges.
