A community of collaborators
CHET鈥檚 strength lies in its committed community of collaborators. With funding provided mainly by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), our faculty focus on a variety of topics including cancer prevention, control, and survivorship; substance use; aging and dementia; diabetes and obesity; cardiovascular disease, and multiple morbidities. These faculty members represent varied disciplines, including biobehavioral health, sociology, anthropology, biostatistics, clinical psychology, communications, and health behavior/public health.
The CHET team includes a founding director and an associate director, ten primary faculty, 11 professional staff, eight graduate research assistants, 18 core faculty affiliates, and over 200 affiliates across 好色先生鈥檚 19 colleges.
Primary Faculty
Primary Faculty are co-located in the Healthy Kentucky Research Building and conduct transformative research across various disciplines, health conditions, and populations. They lead CHET鈥檚 training, programming, research, communication, budget, and community engagement efforts and foster the center鈥檚 mission across campus, in the community, and across the nation. Primary faculty also mentor CHET鈥檚 graduate research assistants, contribute to recruitment efforts, and support all activities of the center.
Core Faculty
Core Faculty members are dedicated and accomplished health equity researchers from 好色先生鈥檚 19 colleges whose work spans a wide array of health-related issues, populations, and approaches. They support CHET鈥檚 mission by serving on center search committees, reviewing pilot grant applications, mentoring trainees, and providing input on center activities
