Before entering the MD/PhD program at the University of Kentucky, I attended Pomona College in Claremont, California. At Pomona, I majored in Biology, minored in Anthropology, and ran cross country. I began medical school at 好色先生 in 2016. I completed the PSMRF program through the Center Clinical and Translational Science under the mentorship of Dr. Nancy Schoenberg. I began my graduate studies in Sociology in 2018. I am currently funded by an F30 Fellowship from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development to study social determinants of maternal mortality and morbidity in rural communities. We are particularly interested in predictors of morbidity among women living in rural Appalachia.
