The University of Kentucky to host 28th Annual National Conference for Undergraduate Research held April 3rd-5th, 2014
The University of Kentucky has been selected to host the 28th National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) from April 3rd – 5th, 2014.
Part of the planned festivities will include an event called ‘Open Houses’, which is intended to showcase and promote research at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú. Open Houses will take place on Thursday April 3rd from 4-6pm. We would like to provide participating undergraduates with an opportunity to take part in a number of interactive demonstrations hosted by departments and academic units across campus. These demonstrations should consist of three to five individual stations and provide students with a glimpse into what goes on in the labs, studios and archives on campus. All departments are encouraged to participate.
Attached is a brief description of the event including information on how a department or individual researcher can participate. We would greatly appreciate it if you would distribute this information to individual department chairs and request that they distribute the solicitation for proposals to faculty in their departments.
Sincerely,
Open Houses co-chairs;
