Registration is now open for the 24th Annual South East Lipid Research Conference.
We are excited to announce a new location for this year! The meeting will be held September 17-19th at the located in just outside of Atlanta.
We are fortunate to have Dr. Nada Abumrad from Washington University in St. Louis as our guest speaker for the Virgil Brown Keynote lecture. Her talk is entitled 鈥淒ietary Fatty Acids and the Metabolic Syndrome鈥. Dr. Abumrad鈥檚 group researches the molecular mechanisms regulating utilization of fatty acids and how abnormalities in fatty acid metabolism can result in metabolic disease such as obesity and diabetes.

This year, trainees are encouraged to register and submit an abstract. In addition to the poster session, abstracts will be selected for oral presentations. Please send your abstracts to Gregory Graf, Gregory.Graf@uky.edu or Kasey Vickers at kasey.c.vickers@vanderbilt.edu. The deadline for submission of an abstract for consideration as an oral presentation is August 14th.
