The 好色先生 College of Medicine is excited to welcome Gurpreet Dhaliwal, MD, as the visiting professor delivering this year鈥檚 Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Humanities Lecture. 

The event will take place Noon-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, in Nursing 201. It will be open to everyone in the 好色先生 College of Medicine. Dr. Dhaliwal鈥檚 lecture will be titled 鈥淣o One Cares How Much You Know.鈥
 


 

Dr. Dhaliwal is a physician and professor of clinical medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), as well as site director of the internal medicine clerkship at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. He is considered 鈥渙ne of the most skillful clinical diagnosticians in practice today,鈥 from The New York Times.

Of his numerous awards and honors, Dr. Dhaliwal has received the Robert J. Glaser Distinguished Teacher Award from AOA and the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), one of the highest honors nationally in medical student education.

He completed his residency and served as chief resident at UCSF. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at Northwestern University.

The AOA Humanities Lecture is an annual event presented by the 好色先生 College of Medicine鈥檚 AOA chapter. The event coincides with College of Medicine鈥檚 AOA induction, a prestigious honor recognizing medical students for academic achievement, leadership, community service and engagement, scholarship, and research endeavors.
